Anna

It's easy to drop to one's knees to ask for divine help when one is worried about one's kid. Anna cried in school so badly one day that we had to pick her up early. This week she's been better though she's still not used to the food they serve.

Cindy is also hard at work at the food court at the Uni. Tough by the looks of it. I didn't think i'd have second thoughts about what we are doing but in the past weeks, i've had many second, third and fourth thoughts. It's easier to towoonsai alone. But really, we are living in very nice house and these are minor adjustment pains. These doubts have been transient and i know that in the long run, we'll be glad we did this.

We've been enjoying more quality time together, especially since shops close by 5pm except on Thurdays and we are on a budget anyway. We also enjoy the night time, after Anna has gone to sleep (typically about 10pm), with me mugging away with a cup of coffee and Cindy studying supermarket flyers for good deals. It's a completely different way of life from what we had back home. We used to earn enough such that we didn't need to consider much before making a purchase but here, purchases are made after considerable thought.

Anna has been fantastic overall. Some days, she'd even console us or remind us of things haha. I told ML earlier that there was an occasion when i got very frustrated after buying a light bulb that didn't fit. Anna saw me in that state and told me, "Papa, nebermind" before hugging my leg. A moment i'll always remember. On another occasion, Cindy was upset with something (can't remember what) and Anna said out loud, "Mama you neber pray!"

Settled Down

3 weeks after we flew over, we are now really settled down and have a fully- functional home (we've been waiting impatiently for our washing machine which finally arrived yesterday).

One of our favourite post dinner activity is to go to the park. Anna loves parks and well, even our own lawn on which she insists on having many of our breakfasts and dinners (on a picnic blanket!).

Towoonsai (PART 2)

Yep, this is where part 2 begins. Thank God we are now settled down close to the uni and school starts on Monday for Anna & I. Cindy found a job at the uni too. Tell you guys more online. Sometimes, it scares me that they are here experiencing great changes because of me. Will upload more when i get my broadband working. Currently on dialup. Will include video clips of Anna soon.
