Ben almost 2 years 4 months

Ben loves the beach. He often tucked at my collar and asked me to bring him to the beach.

Oh, he loves chocolate and chocolate ice-cream.
This one seems to be new in the market - Kit-Kat chocolate cone

Ben turns TWO

As you can see, Ben loves balls,or rather anything round. So, with cupcakes decorated as various types of balls, we sang 'Happy Birthday Ben!'

Ben @ 14 months

Ben has started to fight with Josh for things.  He will scream for the things he wants, if not he will snatch it from Josh.  But Josh will not let him have his way.  SO, they end up 'fighting' and we have to separate them.

This pic is so cute!  Taken when he tried to run towards me at the airport.

Ben @ 13 months

Ben started calling Ma-Ma and Pa-Pa since our Sept trip to Perth.  He can asked for a ball and balloon too.  Recently, he has started calling Nai-Nai and sometimes I think Anna.

Ben has kind of started walking more independently recently.  He is quite an explorer - he likes checking out the storeroom and the dustbin.  He ventured upstairs, taking steps like an adult.  He has started throwing rubbish into the bin.  He likes balls, balloons, yo-yo (those with lights and sound), dinosaurs and most importantly he likes sucking his left thumb.  He enjoys porridge very much but he likes roti-prata.  A meal is never complete with fruits.  At the moment, he likes longan and grapes.

Cradle Cap cum . . .

Ben came down with some sort of rash, all over his face, suspected infant acne, so we were advised to clean his head off cradle cap as part of the hygiene issue. We were told by the child health nurse to use olive oil, which we did. Checked out the cool bandana (thanks Uncle Clem for the hanky, which you have left behind!).

Ben @ 4.5 weeks old

Josh having a go with the carrot but din quite like it! See his right cheek, bruised and swollen, fell from the bench at the beach playground.
Ben sitting on his own for the first time!

Ben's First Month

Bought a chesse cake to celebrate Ben's full month, but he was asleep the whole time. We had delicious char siew and roast pork delicately prepared by Frank (see above pic).
Ben is a rather wakeful baby with 2 hourly feed, playtime of 2-4 hours in between feed and sleep. Read that baby at his age should only be awake for max 2 hours and they usually get tired by then. . . somehow, Ben seems not tired. Its okay to be awake and feeding around the clock in the day but not when I have a baby with wide opened eyes looking at me from 2-5am! Just this week, I only had max 3 hours of sleep in 3 consecutive nights. On the fourth night, I literally was non-functional!

Now we see 'it'!

We were at the hospital for my 20th week scan. Was very concern with baby 'cos I have not been feeling any movement, perhaps there were some very subtle ones, but I needed bigger movements to ensure the status of the baby. Anyhow, according to the sonographer, the placenta is formed anteriorly, hence might be cushioning some of the movements. She said she did not feel any movement until 24 weeks.

Checked all vitals. . . all alright! Thank God.

Interesting measurement picked up is the size of the foot, one is measuring at a length of 3.44cm. Big foot. Baby weighs 350g, again bigger than expected gestational period. And of course, Bub was very cooperatively, although he was busy playing with his fingers, we saw what we needed to confim the gender! We will have to crack our heads for a name. . .

Hello there!

As you can see, this is baby Junior at 13.6 weeks according to the radiologist (30 Mar).

CRL - 88.8mm
Heart rate - 141 bpm

This was my first trimester ultrasound scanning. Suppose to do general check and the nuchal translucency thickness measurement to check for Trisomy 21. However, the first thing the radiologists said was, 'Baby is too big, can't do the measurement'.

Somehow, baby is bigger than expected gestation weeks. So instead of being just into my 13 weeks, I am probably late 13 and approaching 14 weeks. So be it then. The good thing is that instead of paying $160 for the whole process, I only had to pay $35 (covered by Medicare).

Both Anna and Josh were captivated for a while, after which they did not like the fact that I was stuck to the bench for so long. Btw, we saw something, then again, it might be too early to determine! Your guess is as good as mine.
