Josh's 4th Birthday Party

Josh turned 4 on the 28 Dec 2010.  He was thrilled about the party.  Well, he couldn't decide between a Ben Ten or Power Ranger cake.  I wanted to do the former since I have already purchased the 'green' stuff for decorating the cake.

One of my favourite games, fishing the 'Guti-Guti' (if that is howyou spell it).

Unfortuantely, no pic of the Ben Ten cake (will try to get a copy of it). The party ended with a Ben Ten Pinata, which I drew and coloured.

Make a guess - Does he like it?

Josh will be turning 3 end of next month

Josh wants a Ben Ten birthday party.  He also wants Transformers and Power Rangers in the party.  Not sure how I will incorporate/integrate these themes togther.  He loves this Power Ranger t-shirt.  He will wear it whenever it is not in the wash.

Isn't he a bit young?

Few days ago, Josh saw something interesting (a baby's clip) on the internet and since then, he has been asking to watch it everyday. He watched over and over and over again.

Cheeky boy

Recently Josh has found the use of the stool. He goes everywhere with it. This day, he realised that he can actually reached the handle of the fridge's door. He was fascinated and he tried holding on to it and climbing on the door ie. clinging via the toes.

This pic was taken after he did the stunt. Was trying to get him to do again but he was too excited with camera! Look at the cheeky smile.

Check out the number of teeth he has

Ever since Feb, all the 4 pre-molars have been pushing out of his gum. Then came the 4 canines. Well, Mr Tay has tried cleaning his teeth using a toothbrush, but Josh just refused to open his mouth. So we tried using a handkerchief instead. Well, he does open his mouth, but he will also bite Frank's fingers so much so that he would scream in pain. Often the fingers will end up having imprinted teeth marks!

Nice design?

Guess who design the pattern?

Frank was strangely interested in taking a pic of this 'vomitted milk' stain on my pants. He said quite got 'talent'! HAHA.

Who spoilt the kid? 15.5 months

We do! HAHA!

One of Josh's first ice-cream on a stick. He loves it and somehow when he was half way through it, he wanted to exchange it for mine, which I was just about to enjoy it.

Yummy-licious!

Josh thorougly enjoyed the chocolate cake! He kept going till we had to stop him and take him out of his high-chair. He actually screamed for more! That was too much sugar for the night.

Josh @ 15 months

Thought I take a pic on his monthly birthday. Somehow, I have stopped recording his milestones/growth/developement.

Here goes:-
1. 13+ mths - appearance of 2 upper pre-molars and canines
2. 14 mths - appearance of 2 lower pre-molars
3. 13 mths - exercise his skills of climbing chairs
4. 13-14 mths - often used words: mum (not referring to me but food),
5. 14 mths - can wave bye-bye, action of fly-kiss,
can cuddle a baby/toy and give a kiss, pat-pat himself or anyone/anything.

On the whole, we felt that he is very expressive and can communicate his wants and desires. But these days, he has been driving me up the wall. Not sleeping much in the day and wants you to be and play with him.

Having a Climb

Josh did not 'manage' the climb on the wall but he sure did on me! I was just having a break from a climb and he came pounding on me.

Josh having a go to?

Here is Josh enjoying the place as well. He can literally fall all he wants and I am not worried. HAHA!

Bubble Tea

One of the many things we like about being home is the very easy available ice-blended/bubble tea, cheap as well.

Anna loves the strawberry ice-blended with pearls whereas for Josh, anything goes, as long as he gets to hold on to it.

Of course we were told about the 'not so healthy' black pearls, so we substitute it with jelly instead.

What a Day!

Josh was running a fever for a few days and so we decided to bring him to see a GP. This is the blood test result that was taken at clinic. Check out the super-low platelet count - so low that the doctor said he might be having dengue fever. Doctor advised us to bring him to A&E, which we did soon after. Repeated blood test, Dr in A&E said that looking at Josh's level of activity and strength, he really doubt that he has dengue fever.

Lo and behold, when the results came out, it was totally different from the one taken at the GP's!

So, the question is 'Will I go back to the GP again?'

Josh turns ONE!

Yes indeed I have been very outdated in my blogging. Once Frank finished his last paper and Anna finished her last day at Junior Kindy, we left for home the very next day.

So it was HOME SWEET HOME and lots of cheers and yummy food, even the kids enjoy the great variety of food.

Unfortunately left some pics of Dec 07 back home, hence I can only start blogging again, beginning with Josh's first birthday bash.

As you can see, the common NParks but very new rubbish bins situated at every BBQ pits. Yes, we celebrated his birthday at ECP, pit number 61 (I think), near to Bedok Jetty. Thank God for the wonderful weather - cool and breezy.

Straight away, Tay Junior had a good time checking out the bins, tugging at them and finally opening one of them. Well Done!

Josh @ 10.5 months

This is one of the typical night whereby Josh would still be active and crawling around at 10pm (Kids here sleep at 730pm!).

Enjoying a good cuddle. . . while Papa takes a break from studying.

Countdown: 1.5 weeks more to go

What will he be next time?

Well, my prediction for Josh is that either he will be a vegetable-seller or an environmentalist (cos he always play and mess up the bag containing the plastic bags).

As I spend quite a fair bit of time in the kitchen, Josh has discovered some fun things to do at the same time:

1. The box of ginger, garlic & onions - he would take and toss the items out of the box, sometimes he will have a taste especially the onion skin, which he don't quite fancy.

2.The paper bag holding the plastic bags for trash.

3. He would dig his finger into the gap of the oven. Once, the finger came out bloody. So we had to tape it up. Still, he never give up, been trying to dig through the masking tape.

4. The box containing flour ie. rice flour, tapoica flour, sweet potato flour (all for making my Kueh) - again toss them like toys and the other night, he managed to bite through and had flour all over his face and clothes and onto the floor. I think we took a pic of it (will blog later).

5. The box containing Frank's exam burnt mid-night oil supper/snack ie. Indo-mee, Korean noodles, instant pasta, Vita-Wheat.

Well, you think all these can keep him occupy?

Josh @ 9.5 months

It was about this time that Josh started to stand without support. Initially for a few seconds, but now he is much better at it.

He has yet to take his first steps. He will always stand in front of us, pause - will he take his first step?? - NO - and start crawling towards us.

He is quite into crawling. . . when he sets his eyes on something, he will crawl with very much determination ie. with head down (as tho' running in a race). Its quite a sight!
