Birthday Party

Last Saturday, we attended a birthday party, actually a Fairy Party. Guests are encouraged to come in their fairy outfit or any costume. Well, the girls had a great time with the BIG fairy, whereas the boys were not really interested and had their share of fun with play dough and toys. Its amazing that at such a young age they are already different. . .

Multi-Tasking

Here is Mr Tay carrying baby and cooking at the same time. Can't remember what he was cooking, something in the small pot, then it has to be the sauce for chee cheong fan!

Josh enjoys being carry in front of us so that he can have a good view of what's going on: cooking, hanging out the laundry, marketing, shopping etc etc.

Anna's First Concert

Anna and her classmates went to Perth Concert Hall for their very first concert. They were captivated by the performance and at the end of it, they got to have a 'feel' of the various instrument.

Steamed Sponge Cake

Yum Yum! This sponge cake turned out to be better than imagine. Anna likes it, perhaps it looks like a cupcake, somehow little children are attracted to small cakes. She actually asked me to bake her a smiley face birthday cake, although the last time she asked for a smarties-filled cake.

You are my sunshine!

Anna made this sunflower prior to Mother's Day celebration in Sunday School. She looks so cute in it! The pre-kindy and the schoolies together sang 'You are my sunshine' to all the mothers during Mother's Day celebration.

First Trek

We went for our very first trek in King's Park. Surprisingly, Josh was very comfortable in the baby carrier and fell alseep twice while being bounce up and down. Anna loves the walk too and enjoyed the snack break thoroughly! She loves food!

Happy Mother's Day

The Friday b4 Mother's Day, all mothers were invited to school for morning tea. Anna led me to the gift that she had made for me. She was quite proud of her artwork, and talked about how she glued the glitter papers on the photo frame.

Super Baby!

One of the activities/exercises that we are told to play with Josh to strengthen his neck muscles. But
its pretty tiring for me!

4 Months Old

Josh seems to have a growth spurt recently. He is outgrowing the '00' (ie 6-9 month) rompers and moving on to '0' ones now.

Just went for his 4th month vaccination and had him weighed. A good 7.24kg as of 1 May. Two weeks later, at the Child Health Nurse, we weighed him again. He has put on 400g ie. 7.64kg, standing at 90th percentile. I guess I will continue BF-ing despite feeling that I may not have enough for him.

Incredible!

Can you resist a pic like that?

Josh just turned 4 months, Anna is turning 4 in a few months and Frank is turning 34 in slightly more than a few months!

9 Layer cake

See if you can count the number of layers. . . 9??

NO - its only 7 layers 'cos I ran out of space in the steaming tray, also some of the layers were rather thick, unlike the Bengawa Solo ones, so thin and soft. Mine is soft too, so soft that it was difficult to cut it. But F said 'very nice' and not too oily, which is good. So, the two of us almost finished the whole lot! Not bad for the first attempt too!

Tiramusu First Try

This was an almost 95% eaten tiramusu cake that I made the other day. Always love the ones we buy at the cake shop. So, I decided to make it myself. I must say for the first try, it turned out to be very yummy and almost addictive. To stop myself from eating too much of it, I shared a quarter with our neighbour, another quarter went to the traffic warden outside our house and another quarter to F's classmates. Well, what you see in the pic was half of a quarter that I left for F.

Anna's very first stick-man drawing

Check out the stick-man drawing by Anna! Frank was very amazed by her drawing. Recently she has improved tremenously in her colouring-in as well as free drawings. Some are rather creative and imaginative! Thanks to school.

Mini Sultana & Cranberry Scones

I love scones and so decided one day that I would make them. So, this was our first attempt. Anna helped me cut out the scones, they are rather tiny. Somehow the cute size attracted A and she ate a few when they were baked 'cos scones are usually not something that she would eat.

See how tall I am

Josh loves to be held up this way and stand up tall. This is one of the exercises that we do on him.

Hello Josh!

Ha, this is one pic that I took of us! See the surprise look on J's face. He was probably around 3.5 months old.

Early Autumn

We come to this lake to feed the birds and ducks quite often. Apparently summer was so dry, (without much rain) that the lake has dried up.
