Playing in the Rain

It has been raining very much this month.  Since we did not get the chance to use the raincoats, Frank took the opportunity to get the kids out in the rain. They loved it!

Ben @ 20 months

Ben will be turning 2 soon.  On the whole, he is a rather cheerful boy.  Not this one tho'.

But he loves anything round: ball ball, balloons, BUBBLES!

How attached is Josh to Anna?

Josh has the habit of running to Anna for comfort when he is in trouble or when he gets a scolding from me.  Somehow, when Anna cuddles him, he will calm down and think straight (?).  This was taken in WMC when Anna was waiting to go on stage to sing on Children's Day and Josh was missing her so badly that I had to bring him to go look for her.

Today the kids and I made mooncakes for the childcare centre teachers.  They are the packed into cookies bags to be given tomorrow.

I baked 2 cakes.  One for my mentor and the other was requested by the kids to be given to the school teachers.

We had fun but at the end of the many things to be done, I was flat out!

The Three-some

They all woke up at 6am this morning, so bright and cheerful. Looks like they are ready for day-light saving starting this Sunday.

BBQ with Papa's classmates

We were back at Point Walter yesterday for a late afternoon BBQ. Lots of food. I cooked laksa and baked a tapioca kueh. The kids had fun playing in the sand. One of Frank's classmate brough her niece and she joined in. Anna and Josh had a lovely time with her. They were running up and down the jetty, quite scary when they go near the edge to look into the water. They played so hard that at the end, both A & J were complaining they were hungry. We went for pasta-take-out - they finished all the food!

Gym Class

Every Wednesday for the past term, we have been bringing Anna for her Gymnatics class at Leederville. Its an hour class. This was lesson no. 7 and she has been learning to do forward and back-rolls, balancing on the many apparatus (some which I do not know the names), etc etc. Last 2 lessons she has been talking about the difficulty in doing somersaults on the high bar. After every lesson, she would be exhausted and always will have tummy and legs ache. I think the sessions require her to use many groups of muscles that she seldoms use. Well, good for her then!

While Anna attends her class, Josh and I with/without Frank at times, would be hanging around the gym hall, having an afternoon snack. We will also go to the library to get some books, DVDs and puzzles.

BTW, Josh has been into reading. Favourites at the moment are this big counting book and 'Goodnight Moon'.

A cuddle and play b4 school

These twosome are real early birds. They have been waking up early despite the coldness. I would be more than happy to stay snuggle up in bed. But these fellows can't wait to play . . .

Favourite time of the day

Its the kids' favourite time of the day - when Frank comes home from school. Josh enjoys sitting on him while he tries to study. Sometimes when bored, Josh would reach out for the keypads, play with the stapler, pens, pencils or anything that is within his reach.

Local Desserts

One of our favourite, hopefully with less colouring is the ice-kachang with gula-melaka. Even Anna took a liking of it despite the lack of pink colour. She likes most of the topping except the red beans, whereas for Josh, he likes everything even the red beans. He is really quite a Singaporean boy although born in Australia, ha!

Pre-Departure Dinner

We had a lovely dinner at Swensen's the weekend before we were due to depart. The kids enjoyed the delicious ice-cream. I must say Josh is catching up on his taste-buds!

Having a Ride

After brekki at Mac ECP, the kids loves playing at the playground. Now that Josh is bigger, more aware of his surroundings, he thoroughly enjoys the slide and tunnels.

He is also very sharp at detecting rides. He MUST at least hop on and sit on it for a while.

Sister & Brother

Anna and Josh having a good chase of one another. Since gaining mobility, Josh has been taking off on his own and not caring whether we are looking or not.

As for Anna, she is enjoying carrying Josh these days.
